Northwich Dance Company Privacy Policy
1. Purpose & Scope
Northwich Dance Company (referred to as NDC) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use personal information about you in accordance with the relevant data protection legislation in force from time to time. NDC is a 'data controller'. This means we are responsible for deciding how we hold and use personal information about you. NDC is a Ballroom & Latin Dance School. This Privacy Policy applies to registered pupils who attend NDC dance classes and lessons. This Privacy Policy does not form part of any contract. We may update this Policy at any time.
2. Data Protection Principles
We will comply with data protection legislation that states personal information we hold must be:

- collected only for valid reasons that we have explained to you and not used in any way that is incompatible with those purposes;

3. Information we hold and how we collect it
NDC will collect, store and use the categories of personal information set out below. The list is not intended to be exhaustive and not every category of information may apply to you:
- Name
- Email address
- Telephone number (mobile and/or landline)
- Age/date of birth
- Dance experience, dance examinations attained, dance qualifications attained (amateur/professional)
- Photographs
- Video
This information will have been collected by us in the following ways:
- Provided directly by you when contacting NDC by any means;
- Completion of NDC Registration Form;
- Provided by a third party, eg: someone who knows you (ie: for gift vouchers);
- If you like our page on a social media site and there is open access to use your information from these sites.
If you do not provide certain information when requested, we may not be able to provide our services as a Ballroom & Latin Dance School. We may also be prevented from complying with our legal obligation such as health and safety.
4. How and Why we use Personal Data
NDC will only use personal information where the law allows us to. The table below explains what we process your data for (and the legal basis for this).

All the personal information we hold is stored as follows:
- Electronically - securely stored on a password-protected personal computer at business/home premises.
- Paper registration forms - securely stored in a locked cupboard at business/home premises.
6. Data Sharing
We only share data where it is required by law, where it is necessary to administer the NDC and pupil relationship with you, where we have any other legitimate reason or we have your consent.

We have measures in place to protect the security of your information as described above.
8. Data Retention
We will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for.
9. Right of Access, Correction, Erasure and Restriction
9.1. Your duty to inform us of changes
It is important that the personal information we hold about you is accurate and current. Please keep us informed if your personal information changes.
9.2. Your right in connection with personal information
Under certain circumstances, by law you have the right to:
- Request access for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of the personal information we hold about you. Allowing you to have any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you corrected.
- Request erasure of your personal information. Enabling you to ask us to delete or remove personal information where there is no good reason for us to continue processing it.
- Object to processing your personal information where we are relying on legitimate interest and there is something about your situation in particular that makes you want to object to processing on this ground.
- Restrict processing of your personal information in certain circumstances, for example if you want us to establish accuracy or reason for processing the information.
